INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Where Change Takes Root

Are you ready to dig below the surface to discover your authentic self and create lasting positive change in your life? Our therapeutic approach integrates mind, body, and spirit while remaining practical and grounded.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, we draw on techniques such as these:

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

A non-pathologizing approach that helps you understand and heal different parts of yourself while strengthening your core self.

EMDR Therapy

A powerful method for processing trauma and reducing anxiety that works with your nervous system.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Practical skills for managing emotions and improving relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Practices

Tools for staying present and building self-awareness.

Somatic (Body-Based) Approaches

Understanding and healing through the mind-body connection.

Do I have to have a problem or be in crisis to go to therapy?

No! This is a huge misconception. Therapy is helpful for a variety of other reasons (see below). If you feel drawn to pursuing therapy, then it is probably a good idea to explore. This is an excellent question to discuss with a therapist in a consultation or first session.

What is EMDRIA Certification?

This is a placeholder question. Becoming an EMDRIA Certified Therapist requires having a current license to practice independently as a mental health professional, completing an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Training, completing 10 hours of group EMDRIA consultation and 10 hours of one-on-one consultation, and providing letters of recommendation. For more details, visit www.emdria.org.

How do I know if I could benefit from therapy?

Here are some common concerns that bring clients to therapy:

  • Feeling weighed down by life
  • Chronic unhappiness and worry
  • Confusion about next steps in life
  • Relationship issues
  • Identity questions

Therapy is also valuable when you simply need support or have things to get off your chest.

How do I pick the right therapist?

The client-therapist relationship is the most important aspect of therapy. You may not be able to tell right away whether a therapist is a good fit for you. But, over time, you should start to feel comfortable and open to sharing without fear or judgment. If you don’t feel that way about your therapist, they are probably not right for you.

What if the counselor I requested is not taking new clients?

You can be placed on that counselor’s wait list, and they will reach out to you if an opening becomes available.

How long will therapy take?

That depends on what you are hoping to achieve. A brief course of therapy may be as short as three or four months. It can often take at least six months of regular therapy for noticeable change to happen. Some people may choose to be in therapy for longer periods of time. This is a great thing to discuss in an initial appointment to make sure that you and the therapist are on the same page.

Do you see clients in person and virtually?

Yes. We offer both in-person and virtual appointments, and you can switch between the two depending on what works best for your schedule.

Can you see me while I’m temporarily in another state or country?

Unfortunately, our clients must be in the state of Colorado at the time of the session.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. We are paneled with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United HealthCare.

Can I get a superbill?

If you plan to use out-of-network benefits to pay for therapy, we can provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Do you offer sliding-scale fees?

We reserve a small number of sliding-scale spots for clients who may not be able to afford our full fees. Please let us know if you're interested in exploring this option. If you're able to pay the full cost of our services, please allow the sliding-scale spots to remain available for other clients.

Can I get a Good Faith Estimate?

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, the “No Surprises Act,” you have a right to receive a “good faith estimate” explaining how much your therapy services will cost. Healthcare providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who choose not to use their insurance for therapy services with an estimate of the cost of those services. The total cost for each client will vary depending upon the length of time and frequency of sessions that occur throughout the therapeutic relationship as determined by the initial assessment and continued evaluation of treatment needs and progress. Your estimate will be valid for the 12 months from the date of issue. Should any fee changes occur, or upon your request, we will provide you with a new good faith estimate.

EMDR Intensives

What they are:

EMDR intensives are extended sessions of EMDR therapy with Logan Druckman, an EMDRIA-certified therapist. Three-hour and 90-minute sessions are available.

Why they’re different:

EMDR intensives enable you to make significant progress in a shorter period of time. Twelve hours of intensives is equivalent to four to six months of traditional talk therapy.

Results:

Reduction of trauma symptoms; reduction of somatic anxiety symptoms (anxiety symptoms in your body); a calmer, more regulated nervous system, tools to regulate your nervous system on your own outside of sessions.

Are EMDR Intensives right for you?

EMDR intensives are a great option if you have a busy schedule that makes it hard to fit in regular therapy appointments. They’re also valuable if you have already done a lot of traditional talk therapy and want to accelerate your progress. To get the most from EMDR sessions, you should already feel emotionally well-resourced.  Sessions are open both to Foundational Wellness clients and clients of other therapists who want to work on a specific issue with EMDR.

Pricing

90-Minute Session - $375
Three-Hour Session - $750
